Message from H.E Grace Alfred Olotu
Dear Friends of Tanzania,
On 9th December 2021, Tanzania celebrates sixty years of the independence of Tanzania Mainland. As part of the celebrations for this milestone, the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Nordic countries, Baltic States, and Ukraine have organized a number of events. These events aim to promote TANZANIA AS AN INVESTMENT AND BUSINESS DESTINATION.
Tanzania is home to Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa; the white beaches in Zanzibar Island; Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s wonders; and the Serengeti, the home of epic animal migration.
Over the years, Tanzania has enjoyed excellent bilateral relations with the Nordic Countries, the Baltic States, and Ukraine. Through its Embassy in Sweden, Tanzania has established a very good friendship and strengthened its economic, political, and cultural ties with all Nordic countries, the Baltic States and Ukraine.
For many years, our relations have focused mainly on development assistance. While we still value and appreciate development assistance, our main focus and interest now are to promote trade relations and tourism, among others.
Cognizant of the role of the private sector in promoting economic growth, the Government of Tanzania has embarked on major policy reforms and infrastructure development so as to create a conducive environment for the private sector to flourish. Access to essential services like electricity, transport systems, and other services has tremendously improved.
The Priority Sectors for Investment are: Energy, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Chemical Industries, Fishing, Construction, and Real Estate Development, Finance, Health and Educational Facilities, Radio, and Television broadcasting, and Export Oriented Projects.
The Embassy of Tanzania in Sweden is open for prospective investors. We welcome you to partner with us in this journey by investing and doing business in Tanzania.
