On his last day in Tanzania, President Clinton became one of 360, 000 visitors annually to explore the World Famous Ngorongoro Crater. Often called "Africa’s Eden" and the "8th Natural Wonder of the World," this collapsed volcano (a “caldera”) is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area . This is a natural sanctuary for thousands of birds, insects and animals such as lions, zebra, black rhino and wildebeest, all free to wander.

President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete visited Denmark from 5 – 7 May 2009. The purpose of the visit was to attend a working session of the Denmark - African Commission ( President Kikwete is a member of the commission which is chaired by Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. In attendance and a member of the Commission was Hon Asha - Rose Migiro, UN Deputy Secretary General.

Youth and employment in Africa were among key topics that featured in the Commissions meeting. Members also worked on the commission`s last report.

President Kikwete also held talks with Danish Shipowners` Association chaired by Mr. Peter Bjerregaard. Concluding his visit, the President met and addresed the Tanzanian Community in Denmark.
