President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete visited Denmark from 5 – 7 May 2009. The purpose of the visit was to attend a working session of the Denmark - African Commission (http://www.africacommission.um.dk/en). President Kikwete is a member of the commission which is chaired by Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. In attendance and a member of the Commission was Hon Asha - Rose Migiro, UN Deputy Secretary General. Youth and employment in Africa were among key topics that featured in the Commissions meeting. Members also worked on the commission`s last report. President Kikwete also held talks with Danish Shipowners` Association chaired by Mr. Peter Bjerregaard.
