On his last day in Tanzania, President Clinton became one of 360, 000 visitors annually to explore the World Famous Ngorongoro Crater. Often called "Africa’s Eden" and the "8th Natural Wonder of the World," this collapsed volcano (a “caldera”) is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area . This is a natural sanctuary for thousands of birds, insects and animals such as lions, zebra, black rhino and wildebeest, all free to wander.

Ambassador Willibrod Slaa attended the Nordic-African Business Summit 2018  organised by the The Norwegian-African Business Association (NABA) on 8th November 2018.

The Nordic-African Business Summit is the Nordic region’s leading business conference focusing exclusively on African markets. This year's theme is: ”The Blue Opportunity”. Nordic companies are well positioned to take part in Africa’s sustainable blue opportunity, especially in the maritime and energy sector. About 90 % of Africa’s imports and exports are conducted by sea.

The Blue Opportunities for Tanzania were presented and discussed during the breakfast meetings. The summit culminated with business consultations/speed meetings with Ambassador Slaa and Experts on Tanzania's blue economy.
