On his last day in Tanzania, President Clinton became one of 360, 000 visitors annually to explore the World Famous Ngorongoro Crater. Often called "Africa’s Eden" and the "8th Natural Wonder of the World," this collapsed volcano (a “caldera”) is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area . This is a natural sanctuary for thousands of birds, insects and animals such as lions, zebra, black rhino and wildebeest, all free to wander.

The role of political diplomacy has been transformed to economic diplomacy. Diplomacy has shifted from mere political relations and foreign aid to trade, tourism, investment, joint ventures and employment generation. 

The Embassy of Tanzania has over the past 5 years been seeing an increasing strategic alliances and cooperation between its countries of accreditation, companies and individuals which are based on economic interest rather than political gain.

The Embassy role has therefore shifted from only maintaining political relations to promoting business and investment between Tanzania and the Nordic countries and Baltic States.

This page briefly shows events, activities, meetings and visits which implement Economic Diplomacy.
