As you probably realize, staying on Zanzibar (or any of Tanzania's islands) is generally a lot cheaper than being on safari. Don't forget to look at the options on Mafia Island also if any of your party are serious divers or snorkellers; Mafia doesn't have the same quality of beaches … but it's a lot quieter than Zanzibar, and can have a much more exclusive feel for a similar cost.

SHARES/INVESTMENT SCHEMES FOR DIASPORA Print E-mail
COLLECTIVE INVESTMENT SCHEME FOR THE DIASPORA

Umoja Trust Fund - Asset Management and Investor Services (UTT-AMIS) is one of three organisations of the Unit Trust of Tanzania (UTT). 
 
UTT- AMIS which started in 2015 operates 5 collective Investment Scheme i.e

1. Umoja Fund
2. Wekeza Maisha
3. Watoto Fund
4. Jikimu Fund and 
5. Liquid Fund

UTT AMIS is inviting Tanzania's in the Diaspora to invest at home through the funds that they manage and obtain attractive returns. In order to make investments in any of the Schemes a Diaspora needs to open an account with the fund of choice and obtain Bank details. Once the account is open then an investor can wire of transfer funds to the chosen investment scheme.
